On Friday 1st October, 2021, Origin celebrated the formal completion of the sale of Eng-IT limited which sees the transfer of Eng-IT customers to Origin.

Eng-IT has been in existence for the last 35 years providing software and local support to the Manufacturing sector predominantly focused on 3D CAD and Analysis solutions. Origin will welcome their 200 customers to their growing client base. Chris Dukes, owner of Eng-IT will continue to work with Origin for a minimum period of 12 months to ensure a smooth transition of customers and knowledge transfer.

Origin will continue to build on the great work of Eng-IT with a 100% focus on providing Manufacturing Engineering Solutions that improve outputs, save time, and reduce cost. Tim Dukes, former Technical Manager of Eng-IT will take up the role as Director of Origin alongside Robert Shropshire. Tim Dukes said, “After working with Eng-IT for the past 8 years, I have supported many of the customers and I am well aware of the difference our solutions make to streamlining and optimising the design process. I look forward to building on the great work Chris Dukes has done, and I am delighted to bring Rob Shropshire on board to drive growth within the business”

For many customers, they will see no real change to their customer experience with Tim continuing to ensure a high level of support whilst working hard to increase investment in areas that our customers value. Already, Origin have invested in increasing the volume of content that customers have access to in order to help them get even more value out of their existing investments.

Chris Dukes, Owner of Eng-IT said “Whilst it does feel a little strange to be stepping down after so many years, I know the time is right to slow down and pursue my passion for Travel! I will remain involved in the business providing consultancy and advice to Origin. I would like to thank all of our customers and partners for their continued support. Moving forward I look forward to following Origin with a keen interest and seeing where they can take the business!”
